  • Estancia development kicks off with residential and Mainstreet care facility…Development will have 98 acres of residential and 52 acres of commercial, with homes ranging from $250,000 to $400,000.   • Winfield to get new grocery store next week…A new discount grocery store is set to open next week in Winfield, according to a news release from the Cowley County Economic Development Department.  The Save-A-Lot grocery store, located at 1906 E. Ninth in the Winfield Plaza, will be open to the public beginning Wednesday, the release said. A ceremonial opening, accompanied by a ribbon-cutting, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday.  Read Entire Article

  • KC developer planning $10.5M housing project in Newton… A Kansas City developer wants to create a multi-family housing project in Newton. Kelley Hrabe, a partner with Prairie Fire Development Group, gained preliminary support this week from the Newton City Commission for a $10.5 million housing project that would include 62 units of two- and three-bedroom duplexes, triplexes and quadplexes. He wants to build on land west of the Newton Walmart off Windward Drive, which is near where Highway 50 and I-135 intersect.  Read Entire Article
